The aim of this report is to review the electoral rules on affirmative action in the European countries. The analysis of the national electoral rules is based on the conceptual and classificatory frameworks developed in social science during the last decades. The report also refers to studies, documents and recommendations of the Council of Europe, OSCE, UN and other international organizations relevant in this field.
