On June 20 the National Assembly of Madagascar hosted an event centered on the SDGs. Organized by UNDP together with the President of the Pan-African Parliament, the main objective of the event was to familiarize Malagasy MPs with their role with regards to SDG implementation throughout the country’s territory.

Both the UNDP and the President of the Pan-African Parliament, his Excellency Roger Nkodo Dang, contributed to the event via presentations and lively discussions. Similarly, Malagasy representatives from the legislature and the executive also held speeches, underlining the country’s position as a leader in SDG implementation that has already produced a roadmap on the execution of Agenda 2030.

To finish on an upbeat note, the event was concluded by youth reciting poems and presenting their vision on the SDGs as well as an SDG exhibition. You can find more information about the event in French by clicking on this link.
