Scotland faces a period of considerable uncertainty with the combinationof Brexit, the climate emergency, and shifting public narratives on land ownership and land use. Responding to this, the Scottish Parliament hosted a Citizens’ Jury in March 2019, to consider how funding and advice for land management should be designed to improve Scotland’s natural environment. The Citizen’s Jury identified a number of recommendations.

This document reviewsthe relevantcurrent Scottish Government policy, funding and incentive structures to support the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform (ECCLR) Committee’s consideration of the recommendations.
