This case study focuses on some Somali experiences with parliamentary structures and their functioning, in particular in the north-east (Puntland) and northwest (Somaliland). The text claims to simply ‘present what exists’ in terms of the experiences that the Somali people have had and continue to have with ‘parliaments’, in a highly conflictual environment.
