Report of a workshop organized by the CPA in Kenya (2001) on the “parliamentary oversight of the finance and the budgetary process”. The report summarizes the discussions around: the frameworks, capacities and mechanisms at the disposal of parliaments to engage in budget oversight, the role of finance committees, the relationship between the parliament and the audit-general, and recommendations to strengthen the oversight capacity of parliaments.
