This presentation provides an introduction to the security services in Malaysa, detailing how they have develop over the years and highlighting what security challenges they currently face. It points out the profound difficulties in coordinating the work of various different actors and agencies working on national security, suggesting that parliamentary operations in this field can and should be improved to strengthen Malaysa’s national security policy formuation.
